The following is a resource page for small businesses in Bessemer impacted by COVID-19 restrictions. Mayor Kenneth Gulley and the Bessemer Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a teleconference on Thursday, May 7, 2020, with several lending institutions and representatives of local small businesses. Information on accessing working capital was shared. Participating institutions included: the Birmingham Business Resource Center, BB&T Bank, First Financial Bank, Hope Credit Union Enterprise Corporation, Liftfund, Sabre Financial and TruFund.
In addition, the following links provide information on how small businesses in Bessemer can access capital to assist them during the pandemic response. It is the goal of the city of Bessemer, in conjunction with the Bessemer Area Chamber of Commerce, to find ways to connect local small businesses with resources they need to be successful during this difficult time.
