Community Development 2019 Substantial Amendment
SUBSTANTIAL AMENDMENT TO FY 2019 CDBG ACTION PLANS
The City of Bessemer’s Office of Economic and Community Development Department proposes a Substantial Amendment to its FY 2019 CDBG Consolidated Action Plan. This Substantial Amendment is necessary to revise the existing FY2019 Action Plan to reflect the reprogramming of $120,259.20 in unspent Public Facilities fund from the 2019 CDBG Entitlement Grant.
The funds will be moved from the FY2019 Public Facilities to ADA Improvements at the:
Bessemer Recreation Center at 100 14th Street South
Bessemer Utilities Company at 1600 1st Avenue North
In additional $ 38,683.76 will be reprogrammed to Housing Rehab Emergency Grants for FY 2018-2019.
Written comments on the proposed amendment will be accepted comments starting, November 25th, 2019 through January 6thth, 2020. Comments on the proposed amendment may be mailed to the Forrest Davis, Director of Economic and Community Development 1700 Third Avenue North, 3rd floor, Bessemer, AL 35020.
