Bessemer, Birmingham, Jeffco partner on $40 million FedEx Project
Here we grow again! The city in Bessemer, in partnership with neighboring Birmingham and Jefferson County, have attracted a $40 million FedEX Ground facility and some 285 new jobs to the region. The 300,000-square-foot facility will be located on some 46 acres on Lakeshore Drive, next to the current Dollar General Distribution Center in Bessemer. The facility will be primarily in Birmingham, but office operations will be housed in Bessemer.
