The city of Bessemer’s Street and Sanitation Department is announcing potential delays in garbage collection on Thursday, July 8, 2021.
Residential garbage service may be delayed for several hours for households whose normal pickup day is on the Monday/Thursday schedule. However, Street and Sanitation officials are anticipating servicing all Thursday residential garbage households by the end of the day Thursday.
Communities and neighborhoods which may be impacted by a delay in service include: Broadmoor, Northside, Braswell Homes, Old Jonesboro, Smith Highland, Hopewell, Raimund, Parkside, Southwood Parc, Willowbrook, Woodhill Cove, Cobb Garden, and Dewanna Lane.
