Municipal Court to offer Amnesty Program
Judges and staff of Bessemer Municipal Court proudly announce Operation Clean Slate 2.0, an amnesty program for 2019. Operation Clean Slate 2.0 is offered by the Bessemer Municipal Court to assist the community by assuring safer streets through allowing the community to address any matter of the court with a Failure to Appear Warrant attached. The court will forgive and recall any outstanding Failure to Appear Warrant upon agreed payment with the Courts. In 2019, the City of Bessemer Municipal Court will welcome the cities of Fairfield, Hueytown, Lipscomb and Pleasant Grove. Other municipalities have expressed interest in getting involved in the effort as well. This will mark the first time neighboring municipalities will offer amnesty in concert. Bessemer Municipal Court amnesty dates are: February 26, March 26, April 23th and April 30. Court will take place from 2-5 p.m. on those dates.
