Our Council
The Bessemer City Council is the legislative body for the city of Bessemer. The Council is comprised of seven members from each of the city’s seven City Council districts.
The City Council meets as follows:
- 1st Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the second floor
- 2nd Tuesday of every month (Planning Session) at 9 a.m. in the multi-purpose room on the first floor
- 3rd Tuesday of every month at 9 a.m. in the Council Chambers
A Planning Session of the City Council is held every second Tuesday of the month at City Hall, beginning at 9 a.m., unless otherwise noted.
